216B.135 Creation of Task Force on Health Care Cost and Quality.

There is hereby created a Task Force on Health Care Cost and Quality for the purpose of studying the implementation of KRS 216B.015, 216B.020, 216B.040, 216B.042, 216B.061, 216B.065, 216B.085, 216B.086, 216B.090, 216B.095, 216B.115, and 216B.120. The task force members shall be appointed by the Governor on July 13, 1990. The task force shall include a reasonable number of members and shall include, but not be limited to, chief executive officers of nonprofit health insurance organizations and forprofit and not-for-profit health-care institutions and prominent citizens with an interest in health-care cost containment. The task force shall be co-chaired by the mayor of the largest city within and county judge/executive of any county containing more than three thousand (3,000) acute-care hospital beds. The task force shall hold its first meeting no later than July 30, 1990, and shall meet at least bimonthly. The task force shall forward a report of its findings and recommendations to the secretary of the Cabinet for Health Services and to the Legislative Research Commission no later than December 31, 1991.
