309.084 Certification of applicants.

(1) (2) (3) Upon application made prior to January 1, 1997, and payment of the initial certification fee, any person who is certified by the Kentucky Certification Board of Chemical Dependency Professionals prior to January 1, 1997, shall be deemed to be certified pursuant to KRS 309.080 to 309.089. After July 15, 1996, the board shall certify any applicant who meets all of the requirements set out in KRS 309.083, pays the fees established by the board, and is not disqualified pursuant to KRS 309.086. Upon application and payment of the prescribed fees, any person who is and has been approved by the Kentucky Certification Board of Chemical Dependency Professionals as a trainee, prior to July 15, 1996, shall be certified without meeting the requirement of KRS 309.083(2) if he satisfies all the other requirements of that section, prior to December 31, 1997.
