(1) (2) (3) The expense of keeping and dieting a prisoner transferred to the penitentiary or reformatory pursuant to KRS 441.540 shall be borne by the unit of government. The unit of government shall pay the expenses directly to the Department of Corrections. "Expenses" shall mean the fee set by the Department of Corrections.
