Notwithstanding any other provision to the contrary, officers governed by KRS 16.186 to 16.195 shall participate in the following retirement systems: (1) (2) Commercial vehicle enforcement officers, arson investigator officers, and hazardous devices investigator officers shall participate in the Kentucky Employees Retirement System under hazardous duty coverage; and Facilities security officers shall participate in the Kentucky Employees Retirement System under nonhazardous coverage.
