438.240 Abandonment or discard of refrigerator, freezer, icebox or ice chest with door or lid attached -- Exception.

(1) (2) Whoever abandons or discards in any place accessible to children any refrigerator, freezer, icebox or ice chest, of a capacity of one and one-half (1-1/2) cubic feet or more, which has an attached lid or door which may be opened or shut, or who, being the owner, occupant, lessee, or manager of the place, knowingly permits an abandoned or discarded refrigerator, freezer, icebox or ice chest to remain there in such condition, is guilty of a Class B misdemeanor. A refrigerator in use for another purpose shall not be considered as discarded provided it is securely locked to prevent unauthorized entry. Effective: July 15, 1988 History: Created 1988 Ky.
