431.105 State to receive fines and forfeitures for certain height, width, length, and weight violations.

431.105 State to receive fines and forfeitures for certain height, width, length, and weight violations. Notwithstanding any other statutory provisions to the contrary, all fines and forfeitures recovered in any court as a result of a conviction for the violation of any of the provisions of KRS 189.221, 189.222(1), or 189.270, which violation occurred on a state-maintained highway and arrest was made by any peace officer other than a member of the Department of Kentucky State Police, Department of Highways, or Department of Vehicle Regulation, shall inure to the benefit of the state, shall be paid to the State Treasurer for the use and benefit of the Department of Highways, and no part shall be returned to the local governmental units from which they were sent. These fines and forfeitures shall be paid into the State Treasury by the court collecting same and within thirty (30) days after imposition and collection.
