304.50-025 Certification by commissioner required to issue binder or certificate of insurance for workers' compensation coverage -- Certificates of filing issued by Department of Workers' Claims remain in effect unless revoked or suspended. (1) (2) Except for an activity arising in the creation of a workers’ compensation selfinsured group, a person or entity shall not issue a binder or certificate of insurance for workers' compensation coverage unless the workers’ compensation self-insured group has been certified to do so by the commissioner. A certification issued by the commissioner shall remain in effect until revoked or modified by the commissioner in accordance with KRS 304.50-140. All certificates of filing issued by the commissioner of the Department of Workers’ Claims prior to March 1, 2005, shall remain in full force and effect, unless revoked or suspended by the commissioner in accordance with KRS 304.50-140. The commissioner shall issue replacement certificates of filing within thirty (30) days of March 1, 2005. Effective: July 15, 2010 History: Amended 2010 Ky.
