214.615 Required educational course on transmission, control, treatment, and prevention of AIDS. (1) (2) The licensing board or certifying entity shall require as a condition of granting a license or certificate under KRS Chapter 311A and as specified in KRS 311.450, 311.601, 312.175, 313.030, 313.035, 313.040, 313.045, 314.073, 315.065, 320.280, 327.050, 333.190, 335.080, 335.090, 335.100, and 335.150 that an applicant making initial application for licensure or certification complete an educational course approved by the cabinet or the licensing board or certifying entity on the transmission, control, treatment, and prevention of the human immunodeficiency virus and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome. An applicant who has not taken a course at the time of licensure or certification shall upon an affidavit showing good cause be allowed six (6) months to complete this requirement. The licensing board or certifying entity may promulgate administrative regulations to carry out the provisions of this section. Effective: July 15, 2010 History: Amended 2010 Ky.
