161.548 Purchase of service credit for service at a regional community mental health and mental retardation service program.

A member of the Teachers' Retirement System who is in an active contributing status <br>with the system, and who was formerly employed in a regional community mental health <br>and mental retardation service program, organized and operated under the provisions of <br>KRS 210.370 to 210.480, which does not participate in a state-administered retirement <br>system, may obtain credit for the period of his service in the regional community mental <br>health and mental retardation program by paying to the Teachers' Retirement System the <br>full actuarial cost of the service credit purchased, as provided in KRS 161.220(22). The <br>service credit purchased may not be used for meeting the service requirements set forth in <br>KRS 161.600(1)(a) or 161.661(1). The payment shall not be picked up, as described in <br>KRS 161.540(2), and the entire payment shall be placed in the teachers' savings fund. Effective: July 1, 2000 <br>History: Amended 2000 Ky.
