230.3

Certification of residence.

If a person’s county of residence is determined by the county’s regional administrator to be in another county of this state, the regional administrator making the determination shall certify the determination to the superintendent of the hospital to which the person is admitted or committed. The certification shall be accompanied by a copy of the evidence supporting the determination. Upon receiving the certification, the superintendent shall charge the expenses already incurred and unadjusted, and all future expenses of the person, to the regional administrator of the county determined to be the county of residence.
