CHAPTER 21.5. Foreign Labor Contractors
Section 9998.8
(a) Any person who violates this chapter or who causes or induces another to violate this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or imprisonment in the county jail for not more than six months, or both.
(b) Any person aggrieved by a violation of this chapter may bring an action for injunctive relief or damages, or both. If the person aggrieved prevails on the action, this person shall recover damages, costs, and reasonable attorney s fees, but in no case shall recovery be less than five hundred dollars ($500).
