ARTICLE 5. Licenses and Certificates of Authority
Section 9715.1
(a) Each cemetery for which a certificate of authority is required shall be operated under the supervision of a manager who is qualified in accordance with the regulations adopted by the bureau. Each cemetery manager shall be required to successfully pass a written examination evidencing an understanding of the applicable provisions of this code and of the Health and Safety Code. No person shall engage in the business of, act in the capacity of, or advertise or assume to act as, a cemetery manager without first obtaining a license from the bureau.
(b) This section shall become operative on July 1, 2003.
