Section 16-26C-6Purpose of the foundation. The purpose of the foundation shall be to promote academic excellence in Alabama's public schools and to aid and assist in any undertaking in connection with such promotion. The foundation shall receive, invest, maintain, and apply the investment income and principal of donated monies for educational and eleemosynary purposes, related to the promotion, development, enhancement, and growth of the public schools in Alabama.
