(September 30, 2004)

2004 UT App 341

-----

Third District Juvenile, Salt Lake Department

The Honorable Robert S. Yeates

Attorneys: Stacey G. Schmidt, Salt Lake City, for Appellant

David C. Blum, Salt Lake City, for Appellee

Martha Pierce and Tracy S. Mills, Salt Lake City, Guardians Ad Litem

-----

Before Judges Billings, Bench, and Greenwood.

PER CURIAM:

R.L. appeals from a final order of the juvenile court in a child welfare proceeding. The order was entered July 29, 2004. R.L. filed his notice of appeal on August 16, 2004.

A notice of appeal from a final order in a child welfare proceeding "must be filed within 15 days of the entry of the order appealed from." Utah R. App. P. 52(a). When a notice of appeal is not timely filed, this court lacks jurisdiction to consider the appeal. See Serrato v. Utah Transit Auth., 2000 UT App 299,¶7, 13 P.3d 616.

R.L. filed an untimely notice of appeal. We therefore have no jurisdiction to consider this appeal. Accordingly, this appeal is dismissed.
