v.

The STATE of Texas ,

From the 227th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas

Trial Court No. 2006-CR-6269

Honorable Phil Chavarria, Jr. , Judge Presiding

PER CURIAM

Sitting: Catherine Stone , Justice

Karen Angelini , Justice

Sandee Bryan Marion , Justice

Delivered and Filed: January 10, 2007

DISMISSED FOR WANT OF JURISDICTION

In this appeal, the trial court imposed or suspended sentence on August 11, 2006. Because appellant filed a motion for new trial on September 11, 2006, his notice of appeal was due to be filed by November 9, 2006. Tex. R. App. P. 26.2(a)(1). As such, a motion for extension of time to file the notice of appeal was due on November 27, 2006. Tex. R. App. P. 26.3. Appellant did not file his notice of appeal until November 27, 2006 and did not timely file a motion for extension of time.

On December 7, 2006, this court ordered appellant to show cause in writing why this appeal should not be dismissed for want of jurisdiction. No response has been filed. Therefore, this appeal is dismissed for want of jurisdiction.
