MEMORANDUM OPINION
Nos. 04-03-00055-CR & 04-03-00056-CR
Anthony SATCHEL,
Appellant
v.
The STATE of Texas,
Appellee
From the 144th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas
Trial Court Nos. 2002-CR-8202-W & 2002-CR-8203-W
Honorable Bert Richardson, Judge Presiding

PER CURIAM

Sitting: Catherine Stone, Justice

Paul W. Green, Justice

Sarah B. Duncan, Justice

Delivered and Filed: July 16, 2003

DISMISSED

When Anthony Satchel's briefs were not timely filed, we abated appellant's cases to the trial court with instructions to conduct a hearing to determine whether appellant desires to prosecute the appeals, whether he is indigent, and whether his counsel has abandoned the appeals. The trial court conducted the abandonment hearing and filed its findings of fact and conclusions of law along with a reporter's record of the hearing. The appeal is now reinstated on the docket of this court.

It appears from the record now before us that the appellant no longer desires to prosecute his appeals. At the hearing, appellant testified that he no longer wished to pursue either of his appeals. Appellant, however, has not filed a written motion to withdraw his appeals in this court. See Tex. R. App. P. 42.2(a). We believe that good cause exists to suspend the operation of Rule 42.2 in this case. See Tex. R. App. P. 2. It is therefore ORDERED that these appeals are DISMISSED.
