CAL MAURICE BUTLER, Appellant
V.
THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee
.............................................................
On Appeal from the 292nd Judicial District Court
Dallas County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. F06-65525-UV

MEMORANDUM OPINION
Before Justices Whittington, Wright, and FitzGerald
Cal Maurice Butler was convicted of aggravated assault and sentenced to forty years' imprisonment. Sentence was imposed on March 27, 2007, and no motion for new trial was filed. Therefore, his notice of appeal was due by April 26, 2007.  See Tex. R. App. P. 26.2(a)(1). Appellant's June 14, 2007 notice of appeal is untimely, leaving us without jurisdiction over the appeal. See Slaton v. State, 981 S.W.2d 208, 210 (Tex. Crim. App. 1998) (per curiam); Boyd v. State, 971 S.W.2d 603, 605-06 (Tex. App.-Dallas 1998, no pet.).
We dismiss the appeal for want of jurisdiction.
