IN THE SUPREME COURT OF MISSISSIPPI
No. 89-R-99010-SCT
RE: RULES OF DISCIPLINE FOR THE
MISSISSIPPI BAR
ORDER
Recognizing the disruptions to judicial proceedings, especially as to courts located in
the Second (Southern) Supreme Court District of Mississippi caused by hurricane Katrina,
the Court has heretofore issued an order granting special relief from filing deadlines in
appeals originating in the Southern District. The Court, en banc, further finds that special
consideration is also due as to attorney disciplinary proceedings under the Rules of Discipline
of the Mississippi Bar as to attorneys residing or having their offices located in the Southern
District.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that filing deadlines for all proceedings under the
Rules of Discipline of the Mississippi Bar against attorneys with their residences or offices
located in the Second (Southern) Supreme Court District are extended for a period of 30
days.
SO ORDERED, this the 7th day of September, 2005.
