STATE OF MICHIGAN COURT OF APPEALS In the Matter of ROBERT ANTHONY HOLMSTROM, JR., TONY MICHAEL HOLMSTROM, and JULIA MARIE HOLMSTROM, Minors. FAMILY INDEPENDENCE AGENCY, UNPUBLISHED March 16, 2001 Petitioner-Appellee, v No. 229601 Muskegon Circuit Court Family Division LC No. 99-027170-NA ROBERT HOLMSTROM, Respondent-Appellant. Before: Saad, P.J., and Fitzgerald and O’Connell, JJ. MEMORANDUM. Respondent appeals as of right the order terminating his parental rights to the minor children pursuant to his consent to voluntary termination of parental rights. We affirm. Respondent has failed to cite any authority in support of his position. The appellant may not merely announce his position and leave it to this Court to discover and rationalize the basis for his claims, Wilson v Taylor, 457 Mich 232, 243; 577 NW2d 100 (1998); People v Leonard, 224 Mich App 569, 588; 569 NW2d 663 (1997), nor may he give issues cursory treatment with little or no citation of supporting authority. People v Kelly, 231 Mich App 627, 641; 588 NW2d 480 (1998). Nonetheless, after a thorough review of the record, we find that respondent’s consent to voluntary termination of his parental rights was voluntarily given. Affirmed. /s/ Henry William Saad /s/ E. Thomas Fitzgerald /s/ Peter D. O’Connell -1-
