FAMILY INDEPENDENCE AGENCY,
UNPUBLISHED
May 7, 1999
Petitioner-Appellee,
v
MONIQUE MERCER,
No. 212713
Wayne Circuit Court
Family Division
LC No. 97-361425
Respondent-Appellant,
RAYDESHAN OWENS and TIM WEBB,
Respondents.
Before: Kelly, P.J., and Neff and Smolenski, JJ.
MEMORANDUM.
Respondent-appellant (hereinafter “respondent”) appeals as of right from a family court order
of disposition making respondent’s children temporary wards of the court and placing them in foster
care. We affirm.
Although a statutory basis for jurisdiction was not explicitly stated on the record or in the
referee’s written report and recommendation, the findings of fact and conclusions of law recited in the
referee’s written report make it clear that MCL 712A.2(b)(1) and (2); MSA 27.3178(598.2)(b)(1)
and (2) served as the statutory basis for jurisdiction. In re Toler, 193 Mich App 474, 476; 484 NW2d
672 (1992).
Affirmed.
