STATE OF MICHIGAN
COURT OF APPEALS
__________________________________________
In the Matter of SADE GAINES, Minor.
FAMILY INDEPENDENCE AGENCY,
UNPUBLISHED
November 6, 1998
Petitioner-Appellee,
v
PENNY HOWLING,
No. 210207
Macomb Juvenile Court
LC No. 91-036251 NA
Respondent-Appellant,
and
LOUIS GAINES,
Respondent.
Before: Young, Jr., P.J., and Wahls and Jansen, JJ.
MEMORANDUM.
Respondent-appellant appeals as of right from the juvenile court order terminating her parental
rights to the minor child under MCL 712A.19b(3)(c)(i), (g) and (j); MSA 27.3178(598.19b)(3)(c)(i),
(g) and (j). We affirm. This case is being decided without oral argument pursuant to MCR 7.214(E).
Respondent-appellant challenges the termination of her parental rights under § 19b(3)(g) only.
Because only one statutory ground is necessary to terminate parental rights and because respondent
appellant does not challenge the termination of her parental rights under §§ 19b(3)(c)(i) and (j),
respondent-appellant is not entitled to appellate relief. Roberts & Son Contracting, Inc v North
Oakland Development Corp, 163 Mich App 109, 113; 413 NW2d 744 (1987).
Affirmed.
/s/ Robert P. Young, Jr.
/s/ Myron H. Wahls
/s/ Kathleen Jansen
