COURT OF APPEALS
ROGER L. STEVENS and JANICE J. STEVENS,
UNPUBLISHED
May 13, 1997
Plaintiffs-Appellants,
v
No. 192464
Ingham Circuit Court
LC No. 95-79859 NI
SHARON J. LEVAND and TED J. LEVAND,
Defendants,
and
GREGORY R. GROOMS and
TRADER PUBLISHING COMPANY,
Defendants-Appellees.
Before: Corrigan, C.J., and Young and M.J. Talbot*, JJ.
MEMORANDUM.
Plaintiff appeals by right an order of summary disposition in favor of appellees Grooms and
Trader publishing Company. This case is being decided without oral argument pursuant to MCR
7.214(E).
With respect to defendant LeVand’s involvement in the accident which is the subject of this
lawsuit, the evidence indicates only that her negligence in following appellee Grooms’ vehicle too
closely, thereby rendering her unable to stop in the assured clear distance ahead, is the sole causative
factor in the injury-producing collision. Hill v Wilson, 209 Mich App 356, 360-361; 531 NW2d 744
(1995).
Affirmed.
* Circuit judge, sitting on the Court of Appeals by assignment.
