STATE OF MICHIGAN COURT OF APPEALS DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES, UNPUBLISHED April 8, 1997 Petitioner-Appellee, v No. 189984 Wayne County Probate Court LC No. 90-285159 SHARICE SHANNON, Respondent-Appellant, and CLARENCE BUTLER and CHARLES CATO, Respondents. Before: Holbrook, Jr., P.J., and White, and S.J. Latreille,* JJ. MEMORANDUM. Respondent Sharice Shannon appeals as of right from the September 8, 1995 order of the Wayne County Probate Court which terminated her parental rights to the minor children under MCL 712a.19b(3)(c)(ii) and (3)(g); MSA 27.3178(598.19b)(3)(c)(ii) and (3)(g). We affirm. Given the history of this case, the length of time the children were in foster case, and respondent’s limited progress during that time, the probate court did not clearly err in finding that the statutory grounds for termination were established by clear and convincing evidence. MCR 5.974(I); In re Miller, 433 Mich 331, 337; 445 NW2d 161 (1989). Nor did the probate court abuse its discretion in ruling that termination of respondent’s parental rights was in the best interests of the children. In re Jackson, 199 Mich App 22, 25501 NW2d 182 (1993); In re McIntyre, 192 Mich App 47, 50; 480 NW2d 293 (1991). * Circuit judge, sitting on the Court of Appeals by assignment. -1 Affirmed. /s/ Donald E.
