COURT OF APPEALS
PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF MICHIGAN,
UNPUBLISHED
March 25, 1997
Plaintiff-Appellee,
v
No. 189628
Mecosta Circuit Court
LC No. 95-003552-FH
VERNA SUE WIRTH,
Defendant-Appellant.
Before: D.F. Walsh,* P.J., and R.P. Griffin** and W.P. Cynar,* JJ.
MEMORANDUM.
Pursuant to a plea agreement, defendant pleaded guilty to three counts of embezzlement, MCL
750.174; MSA 28.371, and was sentenced to concurrent terms of five to ten years’ imprisonment. She
appeals as of right. We affirm. This case has been decided without oral argument pursuant to MCR
7.214(A).
The trial court properly considered defendant’s lack of remorse, People v Houston, 448 Mich
312, 323; 532 NW2d 508 (1995), and the severity of the crime, People v Hunter, 176 Mich App
319, 321; 439 NW2d 334 (1989). Defendant’s sentences do not violate the principle of
proportionality. People v Milbourn, 435 Mich 630; 461 NW2d 1 (1990).
Affirmed.
