The trial court’s ruling is an interlocutory ruling, which is appealable only when expressly provided by law. La. C.C.P. arts. 1841 and 2083(C). A denial of a motion for sanctions is not susceptible to being certified by a trial court as final for purposes of immediate appeal. It is within this Court’s discretion to convert the timely-filed but improper appeal to an application for supervisory writ. La. Const. art. V, § 10(A); Stelluto v. Stelluto, 05-74 (La. 6/29/05), 914 So. 2d 34. Accordingly, this appeal is hereby converted to an application for supervisory review.
