At that time, the Government determined, inter alia, that two documents evaluated as part of that review should be withheld in full. These documents were therefore redacted in their entirety. See CR 1108-CR 1180. Because of the public interest in the government's implementation and application of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), as amended, the Government recently undertook a new review inter alia of these two documents. As a result of this more recent review by senior intelligence officials in consultation with the Department of Justice, and consistent with prior discretionary declassification decisions made by the Director of National Intelligence, the Government made a discretionary declassification of portions of these two documents, which were released to the public on an ODNI website on March 3, 2015.
