United States of America, Plaintiff-appellee, v. Robert Anthony Sanchez, Defendant-appellant, 97 F.3d 1462 (9th Cir. 1996)

Annotate this Case
U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit - 97 F.3d 1462 (9th Cir. 1996) Submitted Sept. 10, 1996. *Decided Sept. 12, 1996

Before: FLETCHER, BRUNETTI, and JOHN T. NOONAN, Jr., Circuit Judges.

MEMORANDUM**

Kevin Anthony Sanchez appeals his guilty plea conviction and sentence under the Sentencing Guidelines for multiple counts of interference with commerce by robbery in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 1951(a), and two counts of use of a firearm during a crime of violence in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 924(c) (1). Sanchez's counsel, the Federal Public Defender, has submitted a brief pursuant to Anders v. California, 386 U.S. 738 (1967), and a motion to withdraw as counsel of record. Because our independent review of the record pursuant to Penson v. Ohio, 488 U.S. 75, 83 (1988), discloses no meritorious issues for review, we AFFIRM the district court's judgment and GRANT the motion of counsel to withdraw.1
