The opinion filed in this case on November 6, 2000, is hereby ordered modified as follows:

1. Immediately following the first full reference to Armendariz v. Foundation Health Psychcare Services, Inc. (2000) 24 Cal. 4th 83, 113, as it appears in the first sentence in the third paragraph on page 7 [84 Cal. App. 4th 827 , advance report, 1st par., line 3], add the following language as footnote number 6:

After the opinion in Armendariz v. Foundation Health Psychcare Services, Inc., supra, 24 Cal. 4th 83 was published, this court invited the parties to file supplemental briefing concerning the significance of the case and the parties did file supplemental briefing.

2. Renumber the succeeding footnotes accordingly.

This modification does not effect a change in the judgment. The petition for rehearing is denied.
