Ervin Edwin Gibson filed a petition for writ of mandamus in this court contending that the Honorable J. W. Looney, Circuit Judge, had failed to act in a timely manner on three pro se motions filed in the Circuit Court of Polk County in case number CR 2000-150: a motion for speedy trial filed July 31, 2003; a motion for disposition of case filed December 3, 2003; and a motion to dismiss charges filed March 2, 2004. On August 11, 2004, Judge Looney an order dismissing the charges in CR 2000-150, thus disposing of the three motions. As the court has acted in the matter, the petition for writ of mandamus is moot.
