Chapter 451 - Acupuncture.
451.02 - Applicability.

451.02 Applicability. Nothing in this chapter requires a certificate under this chapter for any of the following:

(1) An individual holding a license, permit or certificate under ch. 441, 446, 447, 448, or 449 or a compact privilege under subch. II of ch. 447 or subch. XI or XII of ch. 448 who engages in a practice of acupuncture that is also included within the scope of his or her license, permit, certificate, or privilege.

NOTE: The cross-reference to subch. XI of ch. 448 was changed from subch. X of ch. 448 and the cross-reference to subch. XII of ch. 448 was changed from subch. XI of ch. 448 by the legislative reference bureau under s. 13.92 (1) (bm) 2. to reflect the renumbering under s. 13.92 (1) (bm) 2. of subchs. X and XI of ch. 448.

(2) An individual assisting an acupuncturist in practice under the direct supervision of the acupuncturist.

(3) An individual who engages in the practice of acupuncture as part of a supervised course of study or residency program in acupuncture that is approved by the department if the individual is designated by a title that clearly indicates his or her status as a student or trainee.
