ARTICLE 9. VOLUNTARY GILDING THE DOME CHECK-OFF PROGRAM.
§5A-9-1. Legislative intent.
§5A-9-1. Legislative intent.It is in the public interest to preserve and maintain the state capitol building for the use and benefit of the citizens of West Virginia. The intent of this legislation is to provide additional funding for the preservation and maintenance of the state capitol building, to be primarily used to refurbish the capitol dome with gold leaf.
The financing of this program will be derived from a voluntary check-off and contribution designation on state personal income tax return forms of a portion or all of a taxpayer's refund. The funding provided shall be supplemental to existing revenues.
