§59-1-35 Supervision by chief inspector of public offices.
§59-1-35. Supervision by chief inspector of public offices.If, upon any examination made under authority of article nine, chapter six of this code, it is disclosed that the provisions of this article are not being complied with, the chief inspector and supervisor of public offices shall have authority to institute or cause to be instituted the necessary proceedings to enforce the provisions of this article. All books, records, blanks, forms, and forms for verifications, required to carry out the provisions of this article, shall be prescribed by the chief inspector. If any person shall swear falsely in any verification required under this article, he shall be guilty of false swearing, and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished as provided by law for such offense, and by forfeiture of his office.
