§17A-2-5 Commissioner of motor vehicles -- Oath and bond.
§17A-2-5. Commissioner of motor vehicles -- Oath and bond. The commissioner before entering upon the duties of his office shall take and subscribe to the oath prescribed by the constitution. He shall also execute a bond in the penalty of twenty-five thousand dollars, conditioned according to law, and approved by the governor. The cost of such bond shall be borne by the department as a part of the operating cost of the department. The bond and the oath shall be filed with the secretary of state.
