§7-7-16 Mileage allowance for county officials and employees.

§7-7-16. Mileage allowance for county officials and employees.
The county commission of each county shall allow to each county official and to their deputies, assistants and employees, when they are required to drive their personally owned vehicles in the actual performance and discharge of their official duties, reimbursement at a uniform rate for all individuals, not to exceed the rate set by the commissioner of finance and administration for state employees.

Every county official shall file monthly, under oath, a full and accurate account of all the actual mileage driven by him, his deputies, assistants and employees, in the performance and discharge of their official duties supported by verified accounts before reimbursement thereof shall be allowed by the county commission. Reimbursement, properly allowed, shall be made from the general county fund.
