§30-32-4. Persons and practices affected.

The board shall grant licensure in either speech-language pathology or audiology independently. A person may be licensed in both areas if he or she meets the respective qualifications. Except as otherwise provided in this article, effective the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred ninety-two, no person shall practice speech-language pathology or audiology or represent himself or herself as a speech-language pathologist or audiologist in this state, unless such person is licensed in accordance with the laws of this state. A person licensed under this article as an audiologist shall not be required to obtain a license under the provisions of article twenty-six of this chapter.
