RCW 71.24.100 Joint agreements of county authorities—Required provisions.

A county authority or a group of county authorities may enter into a joint operating agreement to respond to a request for a detailed plan and contract with the state to operate a behavioral health organization whose boundaries are consistent with the regional service areas established under RCW 74.09.870. Any agreement between two or more county authorities shall provide:

(1) That each county shall bear a share of the cost of mental health services; and

(2) That the treasurer of one participating county shall be the custodian of funds made available for the purposes of such mental health services, and that the treasurer may make payments from such funds upon audit by the appropriate auditing officer of the county for which he or she is treasurer.
