26.26 Uniform parentage act.
26.26.550 Proceeding to determine parentage -- Before birth.

Although a proceeding to determine parentage may be commenced before the birth of the child, the proceeding may not be concluded until after the birth of the child. The following actions may be taken before the birth of the child:

     (1) Service of process;

     (2) Discovery;

     (3) Except as prohibited by RCW 26.26.405, collection of specimens for genetic testing; and

     (4) Temporary orders authorized under RCW 26.26.590.
