§ 46.2-944.2. Department of Motor Vehicles to be "licensing authority" within meaning of compact; duties of Department
Universal Citation: VA Code § 46.2-944.2 (2017)
As used in the Nonresident Violator Compact of 1977, which shall apply only to traffic infractions as defined in ยง 46.2-100, "licensing authority," with reference to the Commonwealth, means the Department of Motor Vehicles. The Department shall furnish to the appropriate authorities of any other party state any information or documents reasonably necessary to facilitate the administration of Articles III and IV of the compact.
