Title 33.1 - Highways, Bridges and Ferries
§ 33.1-33. (Repealed effective October 1, 2014) Maintenance of roads at state institutions
The Commissioner of Highways may when requested by the governing body of a state institution assume the maintenance of any road situated within the grounds of such state institution which has heretofore been or is hereafter established and constructed by such institution to standards acceptable to the Commissioner. Any such roads accepted for maintenance by the Commissioner of Highways under the provisions of this section shall be a part of the State Highway System, but the state institution shall continue to exercise police power over such roads.
