§ 33.1-218. (Repealed effective October 1, 2014) Rules and regulations for use of recreational waysides


VA Code § 33.1-218 (2014) What's This?

The Commonwealth Transportation Board is authorized and empowered to establish rules and regulations for the use of recreational waysides including rules and regulations relating to (a) the time, place and manner of parking of vehicles, (b) activities which may be conducted within such waysides, (c) solicitation and selling within the waysides, (d) such other matters as may be necessary or expedient in the interest of the motoring public.

The rules and regulations when adopted by the Commonwealth Transportation Board shall be posted in a conspicuous place at each wayside, along with such other signs as the Commissioner of Highways deems necessary to advise the public.

Any person violating any rule and regulation adopted under this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction be fined not less than $5 nor more than $100 for each offense.
