§ 2.2-1147.2. Equal access to state-owned or controlled property; Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts of the USA


VA Code § 2.2-1147.2 (2014) What's This?

Notwithstanding any contrary provision of law, general or special, no state department, agency, or institution providing access and opportunity to use real property that is owned, leased, or controlled by the Commonwealth as defined in ยง 2.2-1147, may deny equal access or a fair opportunity to use such real property to, or otherwise discriminate against, the Boy Scouts of America or the Girl Scouts of the USA. Nothing in this paragraph shall be construed to require any state department, agency, or institution to sponsor the Boy Scouts of America or the Girl Scouts of the USA, or to exempt any such groups from policies governing access to and use of the real property.
