63.2-510. Obligation of person to support certain children living in samehome; penalty.
A person shall be responsible for the support and maintenance of any child orchildren living in the same home in which he and the natural or adoptiveparent of such child or children cohabit as man and wife and any such personwho without cause willfully neglects or refuses or fails to provide for suchsupport and maintenance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon convictionshall be punished in accordance with the provisions of 20-61.
A pregnancy or the birth of a child during the time a person occupies thestatus set out above shall not be required as proof of cohabitation.
The obligations imposed herein shall continue so long as such person occupiesthe status herein described.
