54.1-4417. Monetary penalty.
Notwithstanding the provisions of 54.1-202, any person or entity licensedor registered by the Board who violates any statute or regulation pertainingto the Board who is not criminally prosecuted as a result of the same event,shall be subject to the monetary penalty provided in this section. If theBoard finds any violation of its regulations, the board shall determine theappropriate penalty, including the amount of any monetary penalty for theviolation, which shall not exceed $100,000 for each violation. Any monetarypenalty may be sued for and recovered in the name of the Commonwealth.
