46.2-447. Bond to constitute lien on real estate of surety.

A bond with individual sureties shall constitute a lien in favor of theCommonwealth on the real estate of any individual surety. The lien shallexist in favor of any holder of any final judgment against the principal onaccount of damage to property or injury to or death of any person or personsresulting from the ownership, maintenance, use, or operation of his, or anyother, motor vehicle, upon the recording of the bond in the office of theclerk of the court where deeds are admitted to record of the city or countywhere the real estate is located.
