46.2-416.1. Suspension for failure to comply with traffic citation issuedunder federal law.

On receipt of a notice from a United States District Court in Virginia that aperson licensed to drive in Virginia has failed to comply with a trafficcitation issued under the laws of the United States for a violation occurringin Virginia, the Commissioner may suspend the driving privileges of suchperson, if the person has been provided written notice mailed to his lastknown address that his license or privilege to drive a motor vehicle inVirginia will be suspended if he has not complied with the terms of thecitation within ten days, and if the person has not so complied.
