46.2-2088. Duties of carriers of passengers as to through routes,equipment, rates, regulations, etc.

Every common carrier regulated pursuant to this article shall establishreasonable through routes with other such common carriers and shall providesafe and adequate service, equipment, and facilities for the transportationof passengers; shall establish, observe, and enforce just and reasonableindividual and joint rates, fares and charges and just and reasonableregulations and practices relating thereto, and to the issuance, form, andsubstance of tickets, the carrying of baggage, the facilities fortransportation, and all other matters relating to or connected with thetransportation of passengers; and in case of such joint rates, fares, andcharges, shall establish just, reasonable and equitable divisions thereof asbetween the carriers participating therein which shall not unduly prefer orprejudice any of such participating carriers.
