46.2-2059. Permit required for taxicab service.
It shall be unlawful for any taxicab or other motor vehicle performing ataxicab service to operate on an intrastate basis on any public highway inthe Commonwealth outside the corporate limits of incorporated cities or townswithout first obtaining from the Department a permit in accordance with theprovisions of this chapter.
