46.2-1992.54. Penalties for violations of article; service of summons.

Notwithstanding 46.2-1992.5, any person violating any of the provisions ofthis article shall be guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor. Any summons issued forany violation of any provision of this article relating to use or misuse ofdealer's license plates shall be served upon the dealership to whom theplates were issued or to the person expressly permitting the unlawful use, orupon the operator of the trailer if the plates are used contrary to the useauthorized by the certificate issued pursuant to 46.2-1992.44.
