18.2-248.3. Professional use of imitation controlled substances.
No civil or criminal liability shall be imposed by virtue of this article onany person licensed under the Drug Control Act, Chapter 34 of Title 54.1, whomanufactures, sells, gives or distributes an imitation controlled substancefor use as a placebo by a licensed practitioner in the course of professionalpractice or research.
