18.2-200. Failure to perform promise to deliver crop, etc., in return foradvances.

If any person obtain from another an advance of money, merchandise or otherthing, upon a promise in writing that he will send or deliver to such otherperson his crop or other property, and fraudulently fail or refuse to performsuch promise, and also fail to make good such advance, he shall be deemedguilty of the larceny of such money, merchandise or other thing.
